Death of DENNIS M. PACE

Dennis M. Pace died at his home in Patterson on March 23, 1922. He was a native of Madison county, living his life within its borders.

He was the only son of the late Nuzum Pace and is survived by Mrs. Pace, the former Nell Blosser, their four children, two sisters and other relatives.

Faithfulness in all his undertakings marked his life. In business, church and social relations. Mr. Pace will be greatly missed.

Rev. Mr. Conner conducted the funeral seervices on March 25th, with interment in Montpelier cemetery.

Dennie Miller Pace, only son of Nuzum and Gill Grissom Pace, was born in South township, Jan. 17, 1879 and passed away at this home in Patterson March 23, 1922, aged 43 years, 2 months and 6 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Nell Pace on May 4, 1902. To this union were born four children: Leo, aged 19 years; Glen, aged 6 years; Helen, aged 4 years and Doris, aged 3 years; all of whom are living.

He was converted in early manhood and united with the M. E. church, of which he was a member at the time of his death. He was a faithful attendant at church and Sunday school, always taking his children with him, instructing them in the ways of righteous living. At the time of his death he was a trustee of the church and secretary of his class in Sunday school.

He was a devoted husband and father, caring for his family with a tenderness and love seldom witnessed. He was a good citizen, a generous neighbor and a faithful friend. His live will be a benediction to his family and he leaves to his children the heritage of an untarnished fatherhood and a pure and beautiful character.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his loving faithful wife, his four children, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Blosser and Mrs. Inez Potter, both of Patterson; other relatives and a host of friends, to await the reunion in the land of eternal day.

Funeral services were held from the M. E. church at Patterson, conducted by Rev. Connor, his pastor, on Saturday, March 25. Interment in Montpelier cemetery.
