Amos Vincent Slinker
Amos Vincent Slinker, son of Levi and Margaret Slinker, was born in Truro, July 28, 1882, and departed this life May 23, 1930, at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 23 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Scott, May 19, 1901. To this union were born five children, one son, Donald, dying in infancy. The other children are: Guy Slinker, of Dubuque; Mrs. W. E. Fisher, of St. Joseph, Missouri; Lloyd and Ruth, in the home. Three grandsons, Dale Slinker and Robert and Richard Fisher; his stepmother, Mrs. Susan E. Slinker, of Des Moines; one brother, Curtis Slinker, of Payette, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. P. A. Creger and Mrs. H. B. Strawn, both of Fruitland, Idaho, a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
He was converted in early manhood and was a member of the M. E. church.

Funeral services for Vincent Slinker who died suddenly at the hospital in Clarinda Friday, were held Sunday at the Methodist church here, conducted by Rev. Sands. Burial was in the Hartman cemetery. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved ones.
