Mrs. Hattie Moore

Hattie, daughter of Joseph N. and Eliza Ann Barr was born at Mansfield, Ohio, on October 26th, 1859.

In 1875 she came with her parents to Iowa, locating in the Pitzer neighborhood, and when seventeen years old was converted and united with Pitzer United Presbyterian Church.

On December 21st, 1893 she was married to Murray Moore, and to him and their two sons, Ross and Guy, she has been a loving wife and mother, a splendid companion and advisor, and a generous help-mate.

Left to mourn the loss of this brave little woman are her husband, two sons, Ross and Guy and their wives and two beloved grandchildren (one other little grandson had preceeded her in death) two brothers, C. D. Barr, of Dexter, and A. C. Barr, of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Cora McCalmon, of Goodland, Kansas; and Mrs. Ida Ball, of Clovis, California. While they and a multitude of other relatives and friends sorrow in the loss of Mrs. Moore, they know they leave her in the safe keeping of the Merciful Heavenly Father, whom she trusted. “Till night is gone. And with the morn, those angel faces smile. Which we have loved long since, and lost awhile.”
