FELIX SIMMERMAN DIES AT 82 YEARS

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Madison Chapel in Clarke county for Felix H. Simmerman of Peru, who died at his home Wednesday, Nov. 2. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Simmerman was born in Warren county on Oct. 5, 1878, a son of William H. and Ellen Thurman Simmerman. His life was spent in Iowa, with the exception of three years in Montana.

He was married March 3, 1907 to Olive Kirk of Murray. They were parents of 12 children. Three sons and a daughter preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife; eight children, Mrs. Vada Denly of Osceola, Maynard Simmerman of Hysham, Mont., William H. Simmerman of Altoona, Mrs. Neita Denly of Galesburg, Ill., Nelson Simmerman of Peru, Gerald Simmerman of Elyria, O., Ross Simmerman of Lorimor and Mrs. Dora Denly of Osceola. He also leaves 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Hartman of Murray.

The Rev. Walter W. Williams, pastor of the Murray Church of Christ officiated at the funeral services. Burial was made in Union cemetery near Murray.
