Neola Blanche Felton Silliman, Winterset

Funeral services for Neola Blanche Felton Silliman, 92, were held Mon., Oct. 7 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Mrs. Silliman died October 3 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines.

A resident of the Peru and Winterset area for the past 78 years, she was born April 12, 1899 in New Virginia to Earl W. and Lucinda (Bryant) Felton. She married Charles Walter Silliman June 11, 1919 in Winterset.

She was a homemaker, member of First United Methodist Church, Womens Relief Corp. and V.F.W. Auxiliary, honorary member of Rachel Circle and a Sunday School teacher.

Neola Blanche Felton Silliman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, daughter, brother and two sisters.

Surviving are four sons, Doyle of Albuquerque, N. M., Duane of West Lake Village, Calif., Dick of Winterset and Dwite of Ankeny; two daughters, Darlene Mahan of Prole and Delores Haas of Perrysburg, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Peru Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winterset Athletic Department or V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #8142.
