Opal Call Terrell, 96, of Carlisle died of a heart ailment Saturday at Carlisle Care Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Southtown Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial in the Winterset Cemetery in Winterset.

Mrs. Terrell was born in Winterset and had lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to Carlisle. She had been head housekeeper of the Commodore Hotels and a stunt pilot. She was the first licensed woman pilot in Iowa.

There are no immediate survivors.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Blank Children's Hospital.
