Masie June Short, 87, of Park Forest, Ill., formerly of Winterset, died Oct. 12, 1996 at Olympia Fields Osteopathic facility. Funeral services will be Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset. The Rev. David Elmore will officiate the services and burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born June 1, 1909 in Roberts, Ill. and was a homemaker.

Surviving relatives include three daughters, Mary Jo Cripe and husband Phil of San Jose, Calif., Martha Davidson and husband Richard of Park Forest, Ill., and Bonita Sheese and husband Ralph of Atlanta, Ga.; one son, James Short and wife Gwen of Pompton Plains, N. J.; one sister, Lil Karr and husband Clark of Paxton, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny.
