Eva Sheckler, 86, of Winterset, died of a respiratory ailment at Community Care Center of Winterset Oct. 8, 1997. Funeral services are Oct. 10 at the First United Methodist Church in Nora Springs with Pastors Deborah Stowers and Richard Pippert officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Nora Springs. Visitation is Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home.
She was born in Stacyville on July 9, 1911 to Peter and Amanda (Arends) Adams. On January 19, 1936, she married her husband in Nora Springs, growing up around Stacyville and Osage. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nora Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include her daughter, Marjean Parker and husband Loren of Winterset; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Nora Springs First United Methodist Church.
