FATHER SHAW DIES AT COUNCIL BLUFFS

The Rev. Joseph Shaw of Council Bluffs, former pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, died Sunday Jan. 12 at Mercy hospital there. Death resulted from a stroke.

The Rev. Father Shaw was 64 years of age. He served as pastor of St. Joseph's church here from August 1942 until February 1944. From here he went to Council Bluffs, where he had been serving as pastor of Holy Family Catholic church.

Funeral services were held last Wednesday from Holy Family church. The Rev. Msgr. John W. Higgins, present pastor at St. Joseph's attended the services.
