Services for Geraldine Jeffryes Shaw, 59, Charlotte, N. C., a former Winterset resident who died April 14 of Hodgkins's Disease at Charlotte, were held Sunday April 20, at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines with the Rev. Duane Brown officiating.
Born Aug. 29, 1926 in Madison County, she was the daughter of Arthur and Nellie Jeffryes. She attended schools in Madison County and later moved to Des Moines.
She was married to Reed Shaw on Aug. 6, 1947 and they moved to Charlotte, N. C. in 1957.
Survivors include her husband; sisters, Mary Johnson of Redding, Calif., Lenita Goodman of Murray, Dorothy Roberts of Longmont, Colo., Betty Classen and Rose Fleming, both of Des Moines; and a brother, Lloyd Jeffryes of Omaha, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
