Patterson Resident for Sixty Years; Dies at Age of 71 Years
Mrs. Ralph H. Shaklee of Patterson died this Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 71 years of age.
Mrs. Shaklee had been a resident of Madison county for 60 years. She was the former Mary Etta Salsbury, daughter of Jess and Rhoda Cook Salsbury, and was born at Millersberg on July 22, 1892. She was married at Patterson on June 20, 1915 to Ralph H. Shaklee, who survives her.
She was a member of the Patterson Methodist church.
Mrs.Shaklee, was preceded in death by a son, Roland R. Shaklee, whose death occurred in 1922. In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Lyle R. Shaklee of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Adda G. Wheeler of Council Bluffs; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Herbert and W. L. Salsbury of Patterson.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Patterson Methodist church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Howard Cho. Burial will be made in the Mt. Pelier cemetery at Patterson.
