WILLIAM HONNOLD Of Lorimor Dies

William J. Honnold, a farmer in Madison and Union counties for 20 years, died at his home in Lorimor on Monday of last week at the age of 74 years.

Mr. Honnold was born Aug. 2, 1872, in Marion county, the son of Jesse and Delila Honnold. His early life was spent in Marion and Jasper counties. He was married Sept. 9, 1894, to Marie DeRuse of Pella. They were the parents of 11 children, two of whom died in infancy. They came to Madison and Union counties about 30 years ago. He retired from farming 10 years ago, and since then had lived in Lorimor.

Mr. Honnold was a member of the Methodist church at Monroe, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife; nine children, Mrs. Grace Waring, Vern Honnold, Mrs. Esther Wheeler, and Mrs. Leona Porter all of Lorimor, Ivan, William and John Honnold, all of Des Moines, Mrs. Natalie Burd of Winterset, and Rex Honnold of Port Chester, N.Y. He also leaves a brother, N. F. Honnold of Port Chester; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Bolte of Des Moines, and Mrs. Ethel Shaw of Newton; 25 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Lorimor Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Mr. Thompson and the Rev. Mr. Calkins. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
