MRS. MARVIN J. CAMP of St. Charles Dies

Mrs. Marvin J. Camp of St. Charles died at her home there last Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1958, after several months of failing health. She was 50 years of age.

Mrs. Camp was a life-long resident of Madison county. She was the former Madge Edith Travis, daughter of M. B. and Nellie Travis, and was born near Peru on March 30, 1907. She was married at Indianola on Oct. 2, 1929, to Marvin J. Camp. They were parents of nine children, one daughter dying in infancy.

She had united with the Peru Methodist church early in life.

She leaves her husband; eight children, Mrs. Nadine York of Decorah, Mrs. Nellie Mitchell of St. Charles, Marvin Camp, Jr., of the U. S. Naval base at Norfolk, Va., and Sharon, Reva, David, James and Jack Camp, all at home. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Travis of Winterset, three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Simmons of Selah, Wash., and Mrs. Wilma Carter of Winterset; and three brothers, Joe Travis of Golden Colo., Earl Travis of Shellsburg, and Wendell Travis of Cedar Rapids, and her grandfather, Henry Hoover of St. Charles.
