L. S. BOWMAN Of Winterset Passes

Leaman S. Bowman, a resident of this community for nearly all of his 87 years, died at his home here Tuesday, March 4, 1947, after a brief illness. He had suffered a stroke just three days prior to his death.

Only near surviving relative is his wife, the former Sophia Weaver who is also seriously ill at her home here. She had just returned from the Methodist hospital in Des Moines last Saturday.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Ramsey Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis of Winterset.

Burial will be made at McGinnis cemetery, Patterson.

TO WINTERSET –Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Howard, 1610 South Tenth street, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weaver of Carson and Mrs. Jennie Whitney of Omaha were called to Winterset by the death of Lee Bowman, brother-in-law of Mr. Weaver and Mrs. Whitney, and the serious illness of their sister, Mrs. Sophia Bowman.
