Services for Goldie Ellen Seward, 79, who died Sept. 24, at the Bethesda Care Center here, will be held Thursday, Sept. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at the Peru United Methodist Church with the Rev. Janne Clinton officiating. Burial will be in the Peru Cemetery.
Born at Peru on March 28, 1905, she was the daughter of Fred and Lydia Wright Travis. She worked at Petersen's Nursing Home in Winterset and at Strable's Nursing Home in St. Charles. She married Lyle Seward at Peru on April 29, 1930.
Mrs. Seward was a member of the Peru Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Glen of Denver, Colo., Loren of Suisun, Calif., and Harold of Winterset; daughters, Velma McKeever of Winterset and Janice Halterman of Peru; brothers, Emory of Dallas Center and Raymond of Des Moines; a sister, Eva Oglesbee of Thayer; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and three grandchildren.
