ZULEMA SHREVES DIED SATURDAY

Had Lived in Winterset for About 15 Years; Coming Here From Chicago

Zulema C. Shreves of Winterset died at the Memorial hospital here last Saturday, March 22, at the age of 81 years. She had been in failing health for some time, and had been a patient at the hospital since Feb. 11.

Miss Shreves was born on a farm north of Bevington on May 3, 1870, a daughter of Jonah and Elizabeth Shreves. Her early life was spent in the St. Charles community. She later moved to Chicago, where she lived for 20 years. There she was employed by the Formfit company.

About 15 years ago, Miss Shreves moved from Chicago to Winterset and since that time this community had been her home.

She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Methodist church.

Her nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Sadie Bean of Chicago. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
