GEORGE KIRK DIED MARCH 13 AT MURRAY

George Kirk, a well-known farmer in Walnut township for many years, died suddenly Thursday, March 13 at his home northeast of Murray. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. Kirk was a native of England, where he was born June 26, 1888, a son of Benjamin and Jane Kirk. He came to this country when he was 18 months of age.

He was married Feb. 24, 1915, to Elsie Allen, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Wendell Kirk of near Murray; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard Watson of near Lorimor; six grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Clara Camp, Mrs. Olive Simmerman and Mrs. Susie Short of Peru, Mrs. Florence Iiams and Mrs. Lizzie Simmerman of Murray, and Mrs. Margaret Thurmond of Las Vegas, Nev.; and four brothers, Frank and Joe Kirk of Lorimor, Hiram Kirk of Peru and White Kirk of Van Wert.

Funeral services were held March 16 at 2 p.m. from Madison chapel near Lorimor, with the Rev. Allen Tibbets officiating. Burial was made in the Union cemetery in Clarke county, with Masonic rites.
