THEODORE W. COOK OF EARLHAM DIES

Retired Farmer Succumbs at Dexter Hospital Aged 76 Years

Earlham--Theodore W. Cook, retired farmer and resident of this county for more than 25 years, died at the Dexter hospital Friday, March 7. He was 76 years of age.

Mr. Cook was born in the Bear Creek community near Earlham, on April 11, 1875. He was married at Stuart Oct. 18, 1900, to Mary M. Hadley, who survives him. They were the parents of 11 children, one daughter preceding him in death.

In addition to the wife, he leaves six sons, Theodore, George and William Cook, all of Des Moines, Charles Cook of Orient and Arnold Cook of Creston and Joseph Cook of Corning; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Zellweger of Cromwell, Mrs. Mildred Fender of Cyprus, Calif., Mrs. Esther Wolf of Terre Haute, Ind., and Mrs. Ruth Richards of Humeston; 29 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Judge Miles Cook of Yates Center, Kansas.

He was a birth-right member of the Friends church.

Funeral services were held March 10 from the Earlham Friends church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. L. Willard Reynolds. Burial was made in the Bear Creek cemetery.
