Earl Schultz, Newton

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 18, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro for Earl Frederick Schultz, who died Feb. 15 in Newton. He was 72 years old.

Born Oct. 24, 1909 in Bridgewater, he was the son of William and Pearl Raasch Schultz.

He attended Bridgewater Schools. On Feb. 25, 1934, he married Mildred Sawhill. Three children were born to the union.

A farmer, Mr. Schultz was a member of Ivy Lodge No. 483 A.F. & A.M. in Truro and attended Truro United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, William Schultz, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Truro; two sons, Laverne and Eldon of Truro; a daughter, Sharon Sackett of Stuart; two brothers, Otis of Minnesota and Lawrence of Omaha; a step-mother, Elsie Schultz of Brodhead, Wisc.; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Officiating at the funeral was Rev. Daniel Borger of Winterset. Burial was at Fields Cemetery.
