August 1960RUSSELL O. SCHUTT DIES IN NEBRASKA
Russell O. Schutt, a Winterset resident most of his life, died Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Bellevue, Nebraska. He was 69 years of age.
Mr. Schutt is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. A. Lonney of Mobile, Ala.; a son, Russell O. Schutt, Jr., of York, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. George Barber of Winterset, Mrs. Elmer Young of Bellevue, Nebr., and Mrs. James A. Fletcher of Des Moines; two brothers, E. E. Schutt of Des Moines and Lyle Schutt of Rock Island, Ill. He also leaves three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards Funeral home here, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.

A number of out of town relatives were here last Saturday to attend the funeral services of R. O. Shutt, former Madison county resident, who had died Tuesday, August 2nd, at Bellvue, (Bellevue) Nebraska.
These included Lyle Shutt and son Fletcher of Rock Island, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Shutt of Prairie City, Mr. and Mrs. Orval Shutt of Marshalltown, Mrs Virgil Conley, Mrs. Robert Poole, and Francis Nye of Indianola, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Young, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Young of Bellvue, (Bellevue) Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barber and son Stephen of West Des Moines, and E. E. Shutt, Mrs. J. A. Fletcher, Mrs. Edwina Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Don Bruce of Des Moines.
