Services for Rex I. Schulz, 67, of Orient, were held Sat. Aug. 27, at Wesley Chapel Church with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Schulz died at Madison County Memorial Hospital Aug. 22. He was born in Union County, Feb. 11, 1921, the son of Ernest C.Schulz and Madeline Sanders Schulz. He was a retired farmer.

He was married to Mary Louise Stroeber, Feb.12, 1941 in Madison county. He was a lifetime resident of Grand River township area in Adair county, also known as the Hebron Community. He belonged to the Wesley Chapel Church, Oddfellow Lodge #406 of Macksburg and Grand River Township (Adair Co.) trustee.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald J. Schulz of Stateline, Nev. and Donald of Macksburg. Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia L. Radtke of Fruitland Park, Fla., and Pamela R. Schulz of Cedar Falls, Ia., and also a sister, Mayme Wolfe of Winterset, along with three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Stroeber Schulz, who died earlier this year and both parents.

Memorials may be sent to Wesley Chapel Church or Hebron United Methodist Church.
