Madeline L. Schulz, Winterset

Services for Madeline L. Schulz, 89, Winterset, who died Oct. 30 at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Monday, Nov. 4 at the Hebron United Methodist Church with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Hebron Cemetery.

Born at Olney, Ill., on Dec. 24, 1895, she was the daughter of Charles and Mamie Skelton Sanders. She had lived here 30 years, moving from Adair County. On Dec. 24, 1914, she was married at the Otto Schulz home near Hebron in Adair County to Ernest Chris Schulz.

She was a homemaker, a grade school teacher, a member of the Hebron Methodist Church, a Sunday School teacher at the Hebron and First United Methodist Church in Winterset for many years and a member of the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include a son, Rex of Orient; a daughter, Mayme L. Wolfe of Winterset; a sister, Mrs. Helen Marie Bede of Long Beach, Calif., six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a great-grandchild and a sister.
