Spent All But Three Years of Life on Farm in Madison Township
Leslie A. Oldham, retired farmer living in Winterset the last three years, died at the Memorial hospital Friday, Jan. 18 at the age of 69 years. He had suffered a stroke on Christmas day, and had been seriously ill since that time.
Mr. Oldham was a well known farmer in Madison county for many years. He was born in Madison township March 23, 1883, a son of John B. and Buena V. Oldham. His entire life was spent on that Madison township farm until he moved into Winterset three years ago.
He is survived by his wife, who was the former Mabel Myers. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marvin F. Binger of Los Angeles, Calif.; a son John Oldham of Madison township; and a sister, Mrs. C. B. Stanley of Earlham.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Worthington church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Layton Anderson. Burial was made in the Worthington cemetery.
