FRANK A. SACKETT BURIED AT WINTERSET

Graveside services for Frank A. Sackett, former Madison county resident, were held at the Winterset cemetery, this (Wednesday) afternoon, at 1:30 p.m.

Mr. Sackett who was 84 years of age, died of a heart ailment at Ottumwa, following a one month illness. Funeral services were held at Ottumwa, where he had lived for the past nine years, at the Johnson Funeral home, at 10 o'clock this morning.

A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Sackett, he was born at Denmark, Iowa, but came with this parents to Winterset when he was a boy. He operated the Pitzer store for a time, and it was in Winterset, that he was married to Ida Wilson, who preceded him in death. He also served as Madison county deputy treasurer.

Following his marriage, the Sacketts lived in Carroll and Webster city, where he operated stores, and then he resided in Des Moines for 31 years, where he was a salesman.

Surviving are his widow, Cora; two sons, Wilbur W. of Spencer and George H. Sackett of Perry; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald J. Wadsworth of Des Moines and Mrs. Frank V. Black of Alexandria, Va. He also leaves a step son, Harry E. Hansell of Oskaloosa, a sister, Ida F. Sackett of Des Moines, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
