FORMER RESIDENT DIED LAST FRIDAY

Mrs. Elizabeth Allen, a former resident of Madison county, died Friday, Jan. 4 at Council Bluffs, where she had lived the last nine years.

Mrs. Allen was a native of Wisconsin, but lived in Madison county for many years. She was an aunt of Mrs. Lawrence Osborne of this community.

Her husband, Cyrus N. Allen, died in 1937. She is survived by a brother, Glenn Allen of Kansas City; and two sister, Gladys Allen of Des Moines and Mrs. Grace James of Kansas City.

Funeral services were held here Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the King cemetery.
