Harrell Wilson Ruth, 90, of Ventura, Calif., died Jan. 26, 2001 following a sudden illness.

A memorial service was held Friday Feb. 2, at College United Methodist Church in Ventura with the Rev. Dave Horning officiating. A private burial was held.

Harrell Ruth was born Nov. 25, 1910 in Winterset and had been a Ventura County resident for 15 years. He had previously lived in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Mr. Ruth had worked as a controller for McDonnell-Douglas. He was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue of Ventura; and a niece, Beverly Ham (husband Dale) of Winterset.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the College United Methodist Church in Ventura.
