Died, February 14th, 1895, Mrs. Mary E., wife of Charles Purcell and daughter of C. B. and Mary E. McDonald. Deceased was born October 4th, 1868, married May 1st 1889, and was the mother of two children, one of whom, a boy aged ten months, survives her. At eighteen she united with the U. P. congregation of North Branch, of which she remained a consistent member until death. Although she had been declining for months death came as a surprise at the last. She leaves a large circle of mourning friends.
Transcriber's note: Her gravetstone clearly shows her name to be Nancy Jane. It appears that the newspaper got her name confused with her mother's name.
