SAM YOUNG DIES IN DES MOINES

Funeral Services Held Here Tuesday From Richards Funeral Home

Sam Young, a well known farmer in Madison county for most of his life, died at Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines Monday, Dec. 2. He was 72 years of age. He had made his home in Des Moines in recent years.

He was a son of Hamilton and Edna Osborne Young and was born in Madison county Jan. 7, 1879. He was married Dec. 25, 1900, to Lydia Deal.

Surviving are his wife; a brother, J. D. Young of San Leandro, Calif., and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
