William J. Ferrall, life-long resident of this community and a former Winterset business man, died at his home in Scott township Wednesday, Nov. 21. He was 77 years of age.
Mr. Ferrall was born at Winterset Sept. 6, 1874, a son of William J. and Mary Elizabeth Ferrall. His life was spent in farming near Winterset, with the exception of the years when he was engaged in the real estate business here.
He was married to Della L. Eskew on Nov. 12, 1902. They were the parents of a daughter, now Mrs. Doris E. Jackson of Des Moines; and a son, Robert A. Ferrall of Dubuque.
He was a life-long member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, the two children, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday from the Richards Funeral home here in charge of the Rev. Boyd Zoeller, pastor of the Zion Federated church. Burial was made in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
