DAN BREEN DIES

Dan Breen, former Madison county resident, who lived in Adair county for many years, died in the Des Moines General hospital last Monday night, Oct. 29. Mr. Breen who was 70 years of age, was born in Lee township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Breen. He was married to Miss Alice Waldron, also of Lee township, about 45 years ago, and they moved to a farm in Adair county where he resided as long as his health permitted.

He had been in failing health for several years, and was in the hospital a week prior to his death.

Father McDermott conducted his services at the St. Mary's Catholic church in Anita last Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. and burial was made in the Adair cemetery.

He leaves six daughters and three sons. He also leaves four brothers and two sisters: Mike Breen of Winterset, John of Des Moines, Joe and Miss Joan Breen of Chicago, and Maurice and Mrs. Katheryn McDavitt of Omaha.
