Mrs. Sarah E. Howard departed this life last Thursday, May 25th. The funeral service was conducted at the home by Rev. Frederick Donovan.
Mrs. Howard was born in Madison county, May 3, 1866. She was married to George Howard in the year 1881 and has resided in this county for the most part ever since. Her devotion to her family was attested by the unusual number of neighbors who attended the service and who have known how she has toiled to rear her children.
During her long illness, resulting at last in her death, she manifested a most Christian spirit of uncomplaining submission to the will of God. Mrs. Howard leaves her husband, 10 children and her father and mother.
