Death of MRS. R. A. HOWARD
Mrs. R. A. Howard died April 10th, 1935, at her home in Hanley after a long illness. She was 81 years old. She had been a resident of this community for many years.
Mrs. Howard is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Ona Carter and Mrs. Lou Kale, both of near St. Charles, and one son, Eugene Howard of Los Angeles, California.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church last Friday in charge of the Rev. Mr. Barker. Burial was in St. Charles cemetery.

Page 8, Column 4Mrs. R. A. Howard died at her home in Hanley last Wednesday, April 10, at the age of 81 years. Her maiden name was Martha J. Mercer, and in 1874 in St. Charles she was married to Richard A. Howard.
For a few years they lived in St. Charles. After the Great Western railroad was built, they moved to Hanley where Mr. Howard was section boss for many years.
She leaves her aged husband and three children, Mrs. Peter A. Carter, and Mrs. Wilber M. Kale of St. Charles, and Eugene Howard of California.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in St. Charles, conducted by the pastor, Rev. D. F. Barker, and interment was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
