NEWTON RESIDENT BURIED AT WINTERSET

Funeral Services Held Here for Will Speer of Newton

Funeral services for Will Speer of Newton were held in Winterset this Wednesday afternoon, from the Anderson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Sherman Hanson, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Speer died at the Skiff hospital in Newton Monday at the age of 75 years. He had been in failing health for about four years.

A native of Madison county, he had lived in Newton for 27 years, where he was an employee of the Automatic Washer company. He had been retired for some time prior to his death.

Surviving are his wife; two step daughters, four sisters, and a brother.
