LAST RITES HELD FOR LOTTIE WINTERS

Funeral Services Last Sunday For St. Charles Resident

(St. Charles)--Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the St. Charles Methodist church for Mrs. Lottie Ellen Winters, a resident of the St. Charles community for 40 years.

Mrs. Winters died last Thursday night at the home of her daughter in Des Moines. She was 81 years of age.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Myers, she was born on Sept. 30, 1869, at Columbia City, Ind. Her parents moved to Des Moines when she was seven years of age. She was baptized in the United Brethren church.

On Jan. 12, 1898, she married W. S. Winters. In August of 1911, the couple moved to St. Charles and she transferred her membership to the St. Charles Methodist church.

They lived in St. Charles until a few months ago, when ill health made them move to Des Moines to live with a daughter, Ruth.

Surviving are her husband; daughter Ruth and son Bruce; two brothers, L. A. Myers of Roach, Mo, and C. W. Myers of Cambridge; two sisters, Miss Francis Myers and Effie Keasy, both of Ames; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Officiating at the services Sunday afternoon was the Rev. Eldon Haworth. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
