Winterset, IowaDANIEL M. LOEHR DIES AT 85 YEARS
Death Occurred on Tuesday at Memorial Hospital in Winterset
Daniel M. Loehr, a prominent farmer of the Macksburg community for many years, died at the Memorial hospital in Winterset, Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the age of 85 years. He had been seriously ill at the hospital for the past 10 weeks.
Mr. Loehr was a native of Lincoln township, where he was born Jan. 28, 1866, a son of Noble and Anna Loehr. He was married to Mary Trautwein on October 23, 1898. They lived for a year in Lee township, then moved to Monroe township where the remainder of his life was spent.
He and Mrs. Loehr would have observed their fifty-third wedding anniversary next month.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Dr. Doyle Loehr of Moscow, Ida., and Warrum Loehr of Grand River township two daughters Anna Loehr, at home, and Mrs. Ernestine Grace of Denver, Colo; and three grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, Willis Loehr of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Jesse Abbott of Chilco, Ida., Mrs. Effie Reinmuth of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Everett Richmond of LaCleve, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this Thursday from the Anderson Funeral home in Winterset. Burial will be made in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
