FORMER PERU GIRL VICTIM OF POLIO

Mrs. Bill Skagg of Russell, Kan., Dies at Age of 23 Years

Mrs. Bill Skagg of Russell, Kan. was taken to a hospital in Kansas City, Mo. last Thursday with polio and passed away Monday morning. She was 23 years old.

Mrs. Skagg, the former Patricia Beverlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Beverlin of Topeka, Kan., was born near Peru and lived there until she was about ten years old. Funeral services were held in Russell today with burial in the cemetery at Topeka.

She is survived by her husband, and two small children, Marianna, one year old and Michael, who is four years old, her parents, a sister, Betty, at home, and her grandmother, Mrs. Kate Beverlin of Truro.

Mrs. Kate Beverlin of Truro, C. O. Beverlin of Winterset, Corwin Beverlin of Truro, and Mrs. Lois Henneman of Malta, Montana, drove to Topeka today to attend the burial services at the cemetery.
