MRS. HENRY CLAYTON OF BOONEVILLE DIES
Member of Pioneer Family Was 95 Years of Age

(Booneville--Special)

Mrs. Henry Clayton passed away at her home September 7, after a short illness, at the age of 95 years. She was born Sept. 11, 1856, Sadie Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Roberts, old settlers in the community.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Van Meter at 2:00 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. E. A. Elliott, of Des Moines and Rev. Floyd Newbrough officiating, with burial in the Clayton Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Henry Clayton, Merle Hazen, Melbourne Clayton, Dwight Clayton, Fay Laverty and Junior Clayton. Soloist, Pearl Wesslund; Organist, Marjorie Phillips. Mrs. Ilene Phillips took care of the flowers.
