Wednesday, September 5, 1951GEORGE BUTTON DIED FRIDAY, AGED 41 YEARS
George Button, formerly of Winterset, died Friday, Aug. 31, at Adel, where he had been living in recent years. He was 41 years of age, and had been ill for several months with leukemia.
Mr. Button was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Button of Adel. For a number of years the family lived in Winterset, and he was well known here. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, the former Velma Landers of Winterset; four brothers, August, John and Clark Button of Adel, and Dewey Button of Burbank, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. O. D. Ellsworth of Adel and Mrs. Harry Harvey of California.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Fisher Funeral home at Adel, and burial was made in the Adel cemetery.
