LUELLA F. DELAPLAIN OF WINTERSET DIES

Life-Long Resident of This County Was Living at Home of Daughter

Mrs. Luella F. Delaplain, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Sunday, Aug. 19 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Shade in Winterset. She was 81 years of age.

Mrs. Delaplain was born in Madison county, Jan. 30, 1870, and spent her entire life here. She was the former Luella Kirk. She was married in 1890 to L. M. Delaplain. His death occurred in 1939.

She is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Shade; three grandchildren, Mrs. Clark Dowler and Mrs. Dean Eckles of this community and the Rev. D. W. Cosand of New Smyra Beach, Fla.; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Peru Methodist church this Wednesday, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
