St. Charles Resident Died in Des Moines Hospital Monday
Flora E. Murphy of St. Charles died at the Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines Monday, Aug. 20, after an extended period of failing health. She was 58 years of age.
Miss Murphy was a native of Jasper county, but had lived in Madison county the last 49 years. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel B. Murphy.
Nearest surviving relatives are her two brothers, Francis Murphy of St. Charles and William Murphy of York, Neb.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
