Harry Niece, Grinnell

Harry A. Niece, 59, of Grinnell died May 11, 1994 at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Services were May 14, 1994 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell with burial at the Hazelwood Cemetery. She (He) was born in Fort Madison and was a retired postmaster at the Grinnell Post Office.

She (He) was a member of the National Association of Retired Postmasters and a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Rose; two sons, Michael of Alden and Kenneth of Earlham; four daughters, Nancy Yando of Indianola, Laura Sherlock of Davidson, Mich., Ann Baumann of Woodbury, Minn., and Kathy Wiekamp of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; and one sister, Helen Reed of Marble Falls, Texas.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell or the Oakland Acres Golf Course Tree Planting Fund.
