1962DR. ROY ROSS DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Dr. Roy Ross, Tulsa, Okla., veterinarian and a native of the Winterset community, died January 28th at Muskogee, Okla., according to word received here this week.
Doctor Ross was born in Scott township, near Winterset 71 years ago, a son of John and Emma Jones Ross. He graduated from Winterset high school with the class of 1909 and in 1913 from the school of veterinary medicine at Iowa State University in Ames. He moved to Tulsa in 1929 and had been associated with milk control services of the Oklahoma state department of health for many years. He had retired in 1958.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Garrett of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Ford Bell of Tulsa; and three grandchildren. He was an uncle of Mrs. Elton King of Winterset.
Funeral services were held in Moore's Memory chapel in Tulsa with burial in Memorial Park cemetery there.
