MRS. JOHN ROSS DIES AT 54 YEARS

Funeral Services Set for This Thursday at Macksburg

Mrs. John Ross, a well-known resident of the Macksburg community, died Monday, Feb. 22 at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 54 years of age.

Mrs. Ross had lived all but two years of her life in Madison county. She was born in Grand River township, Jan. 19, 1906. She was the former Lorene Graham, daughter of Robert and Mable Stewart Graham.

She was married at Dunlap, Ia., on Dec. 29, 1934, to John W. Ross, who survives her.

She was a member of the Methodist church and was affiliated with the Rebekah lodge, Woman's Relief corps and Garden club at Macksburg.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a daughter, Carol L. Ross of Des Moines; two sons, Donald F. Ross of Des Moines and John E. Ross at home; one grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Joe Vozl of Omaha; and three brothers, Earl Graham of Orient, Russell Graham of Holydale, Calif., and Wyman Graham of Orient.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday from the Macksburg Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Donald D. Frank. Burial will be made in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
