Graveside services for Ruth A. Scott, 77, were held Wed., Jan. 9 at Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Scott died January 7 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

She was born to Albert Raymond (Sam) and Jennie Myrtle (Moore) Rogers March 19, 1913 in Winterset. She married Howard J. Scott in Winterset September 28, 1945 and was a homemaker. They moved to Colfax in 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Surviving relatives are her husband of Colfax; two daughters, Amber McClain of Adair and Ramona Miller of Colfax; a brother, Robert Rogers of Prairie City; two sisters, Hazel Smith of Winterset and Helen Pattee of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
