Body Returned for Burial in McGinnis Cemetery Near Patterson
Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon at the McGinnis cemetery near Patterson for Claude DeBord, 57, who died last Saturday at his home in Garner, Iowa.
Mr. DeBord was born in Patterson, the son of Douglas and Rosella DeBord. His wife was the former Ruth Nichols of St. Charles.
Several months ago Mr. DeBord purchased the newspaper at Belmond, Iowa, and had been operating it until the time of his death.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two brothers, Harry of Winterset and Douglas of Reno, Nev.; two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Wilson of Des Moines and Mrs. Herb Crozell of Goldfield, Iowa; and one son, Earl of Minneapolis, Minn. A daughter, Helen died in infancy.
Funeral services for Mr. DeBord were held in Garner.
