JOHN G. PENICK DIED ON WINTERSET VISIT

John G. Penick of Versailles, Mo., who became ill while visiting in Winterset at the home of his son, Milan B. Penick, died last Friday, April 20 at the Madison county Memorial hospital here. He was 80 years of age. Death resulted from a heart condition. He had been in ill health for about a year.

Surviving are his wife; and seven children, Mrs. Adam Kehl of St. Clair Shores, Mich., Mrs. Irene Turner of Lebannon, Mo., Robert Penick of San Pedro, Calif., Milan Penick of Winterset; John Penick of Waukee, Paul Penick of Des Moines, and Thomas Penick of Alderwood Manor, Wash.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Sherman R. Hanson, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Patterson cemetery.
