May 24, 1951GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR ALVA CONRAD
Graveside services will be held at the Earlham cemetery, for Alva B. Conrad, Sunday, May 27 at 3:00 p.m. A veteran of World War I, he will be buried with military honors.
Mr. Conrad was employed as a proof reader for the daily newspaper at Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of his death, January 24, 1951. Funeral services were held there at that time after which his body was cremated. His ashes were returned a few days ago for burial here.
He is survived by two brothers, John of Earlham and Earl, who lives in Port Huron, Michigan.
Alva grew up in Earlham. After his discharge from military service at the end of World War I he was engaged in the printing trade. Most of the time as a linotype operator. He was 55 years old when he died.
