MRS. ANNA BOOS DIED ON MARCH 8

Native of Czecho-Slovakia Lived 52 Years in This Community

Mrs. Anna Boos, a resident of Jefferson township for 52 years, died Thursday, March 8, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Katherine Lienemann. She was 84 years of age. She had suffered a stroke two years ago, and had been confined to her bed since that time.

Mrs. Boos was a native of Czecho-Slovakia, where she was born April 7, 1866. She came to this country at the age of 19 years and was married to Nicholas Boos, whose death occurred in 1924.

She was the mother of 11 children, four dying in infancy, and one, Mrs. Mary Jensen, in 1918.

She is survived by six children, Mrs. Katherine Lienemann of Van Meter, Joe Boos of Des Moines, Mrs. Elsie Zieman of Des Moines, Mrs. Anna Martens of Van Meter, William Boos of Leon, and Mrs. Clara Martens of Winterset. She also leaves 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 11 from Trinity Lutheran church in Jefferson township, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. C. G. Meyer. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery there.
