Services Held For Robert Robinson

Robert Alsop Robinson of Winterset died Friday, September 14 at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 60. Mr. Robinson was manager of Graham's in Winterset for the last three years and had worked for Graham Department Stores for 30 years.

Born on April 26, 1919 at Albia, he was the son of Albert Raymond and Iola Alsop Robinson. He was married to Mildred Linville, who survives him, in Kansas City, Mo. on April 6, 1946.

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the American Legion and was deacon of the First Christian Church. They lived in Maquoketa before moving to Winterset three years ago.

Also surviving are a son, Bruce of Ames; a daughter, Cheryl Owen of Goldsboro, N. C.; his stepmother, Ethel Robinson of Oskaloosa; three brothers, Edwin of Moline, Ill., Kenneth of West Union and Harold of Loveland, Colo.; two half-brothers, Roland of Cedar Rapids and Keith of Ames; a stepbrother, Robert Ross of Davenport; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 17, at First Christian Church with Rev. David Livingston officiating. Military graveside services were held at 3 p.m. at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
