Services For JENNIE SIMPSON

A 92-year-old native of Madison County, Jennie Emma Simpson, died Monday, July 4, 1977 at Winterset Care Center North, where she was a resident. She was born November 11, 1884, the daughter of Alfred Read and Sabrine Gardner Read.

Mrs. Simpson was a lifelong resident of this locality. her marriage to Pascal Simpson took place February 2, 1908. A housewife and a member of the Christian Church, Mrs. Simpson is survived by two sons.

They are Laurel of Winterset and William of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services for Jennie Simpson were conducted Thursday, July 7, at 10 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. David Livingston officiating. Burial was made at the Barney Cemetery in Madison County.
